STILL LIFE :: a few more kitchen creations. I have definitely got creating on the brain - I was grocery shopping the other day (I'm relieved to report it was way less stressful than last time!) and while I was still being fairly conservative about what went into the cart, I found myself picking out items based on how well they might photograph, maybe more than how much I really wanted to eat them haha! Don't worry, I still plan on eating everything that came home with me (after I photograph it) but we will definitely be trying some new recipes :)
I've so been enjoying the process of making these foodie still life pieces. It feels similar to making my collage work but much slower and in 3D ;) And I love food so this feels like a way to honour food and how much comfort I've been getting from cooking and eating with the Hubz during these strange days. Also, working in my own home is lovely.
These still life pieces will always be a reminder of how blessed we've been, that during the pandemic we've had a safe, comfortable home and good food to keep us healthy and happy. All the gratitude.
