I'd like to introduce this lovely woman, Martine. Martine came to the studio recently for a Classic Session and we had so much fun creating a collection of beautiful portraits together. I mean, look at this lady! Such a beauty, inside & out.

I often get asked why I have chosen to specialize in photographing women, and why I offer the types of sessions I do, and there are many answers to that question. One of them is that I truly believe that it's a shame when a woman doesn't see (or maybe feel) her own beauty - the beauty that all the people who love her can see so clearly - and I find myself wanting to change her perspective, her self-view. It can be a very powerful thing, to sit in ones own skin and feel not just comfortable, but wonderful.

Martine and I chatted about this topic and it felt like she understood where I was coming from, and what I was trying to do. It just seemed like the right fit, so I asked if she was available for freelance work along with her work with Spirit North* and I was stoked when she said yes!
